Stoneman Elementary School

Home of the Dolphins
At Stoneman, we believe that clear expectations help create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment where all scholars can thrive. Our schoolwide expectations are centered around our "3 Be's":
  • Be Safe
  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
These expectations are explicitly taught throughout the school year so scholars understand what they look like in different settings across campus. To support positive behavior, Stoneman uses a combination of positive reinforcement to recognize and celebrate scholars who meet expectations, as well as thoughtful consequences that help scholars learn, reflect, and make positive choices.
Walkthroughs

Walkthroughs

At the beginning of each school year, classes participate in Stoneman Walkthroughs, where scholars learn the expectations and procedures for various areas of campus, including the front office, cafeteria, playgrounds, quads, and drop-off/pick-up areas. During these walkthroughs, staff members explain expectations, answer questions, and help scholars practice routines.
Reminders

Reminders

Throughout the year, scholars receive regular reminders and support through classroom discussions, visual reminders posted around campus, and ongoing reinforcement from staff. Many classrooms also create their own classroom agreements and norms, giving scholars an opportunity to share their ideas and help shape a positive learning community.
